Qualifications:
· Completion of technical diploma with preference to Industrial or Mechanical Technology or Engineering.
· Several years’ practical experience in different manufacturing departments
· Thorough understanding of department processes/procedures
· Strong leadership/interpersonal skills
- Eight or more years in a management role in operations
- Previous experience in managing large budgets and overseeing multiple projects
- Proven success in managing process improvements leading to better efficiencies
-Team building skills
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong problem solving and decision making abilities
· Excellent time management and organizational skills
· Excellent computer skills

Production Manager
Job Summary:
Responsible for the efficient operation of all Production (Assembly, Paint, Welding, Toolroom and Machine Shop).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
· Develop and implement departmental plans/strategies to support organizational objectives/goals
· Create and oversee departmental budgets
· Ensure staff has a clear understanding of departmental objectives/goals.
· Establish and monitor progress on departmental priorities.
· Promote process improvement initiatives
· Ensure necessary resources are available to enable achievement of objectives/goals
· Coach/mentor and ensure necessary training is provided to staff
· Provide leadership and positive motivation to departmental staff
· Handle departmental personnel matters; including interviewing and hiring new staff, overtime and attendance reporting, performance evaluations, salary reviews and disciplinary matters
· Promote plant safety and provide direction and leadership in regards to all plant safety matters
· Take on additional projects as directed by the Director of Operations.
