- Proficiency in CAD software for drafting and modeling
- Strong analytical skills with experience using MATLAB for simulations.
- Must be comfortable with FEA simulations
- Excellent mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems effectively.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Senior Design Engineer
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Design Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical engineering and be proficient in various design and fabrication processes. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement design solutions that meet project specifications and industry standards.
Location can be in Morden, Manitoba or Winnipeg. This position is with our Farm King Division whose facility is located in Morden, Manitoba.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of mechanical systems and components, ensuring they meet performance, reliability, and safety standards.
- Utilize CAD software such as AutoCAD Inventor to draft detailed drawings and models for manufacturing processes.
- Check and approve production drawings, instructions, manuals and bills of materials
- Look for opportunities for improvements and cost reduction
- Involvement in fabrication of prototypes and final products, ensuring precision and quality in all designs
- Participate in project planning meetings, contributing insights on design feasibility, timelines, and resource allocation.
