Job Requirements of Electrical Design Engineer/Technologist:
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or related discipline
- Registered or eligible for registration with APEGM
- Three to five years’ experience in a similar role is preferred
- Experience with electrical schematics & wire harness designs
- Valid driver’s license
- Proficiency with Zuken E3 and Autodesk Inventor (or equivalent) preferred
- Demonstrated ability to interpret wiring schematics
- Familiar with GD&T, dimensional tolerancing and tolerance stacks
- Proven ability to meet deadline/successful completion of deliverables
- A strong technical capability and ability to work in a team environment

Electrical Design Engineer/Technologist
As an Electrical Design Engineer/Technologist, you will work with a dedicated team to design electrical/electronic systems for Versatile's current and next generation of heavy-duty agricultural machinery. This includes tractors and tillage equipment. You will see projects from start to finish by taking an active role in all phases of development, from concept and design to integration and testing. We take a hands-on approach to design, so expect to spend some time away from your desk working directly with prototype vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:
- Use CAD systems to create and revise electrical schematics, wire harness drawings, installation assembly drawings
- Design and develop electrical related assemblies on products developed across tractor and equipment lines.
- Design complete wiring assemblies along with routing, fastening and protective coverings.
- Sheet metal design of enclosures, channels/raceways, shielding and supports.
- Coordinate with design team members for integration of electrical/electronic systems with hydraulics, structures and mechanical systems.
- Create specifications and test requirements for electrical/electronic systems, components and assemblies for mechanical, environmental and regulatory considerations.
- Prepare part/assembly models, drawings, concept presentations, specifications, reports and procedures.
- Prepare engineering change orders for release of parts and assemblies to production.
- Liaise with Service, Service Parts, Production and Quality departments, as well as suppliers to assist in product development, improvement and sustaining.
- Assisting with continuous improvement of internal processes.
