Job Description
Key Function:
- Track and meet KPI targets
- Document and review all ISO department processes/procedures
- Develop and implement plans/strategies to support organizational objectives/goals
- Ensure staff has a clear understanding of departmental objectives/goals
- Establish and monitor progress on departmental priorities. KPI’s
- Implement & promote process improvement initiatives
- Support other department Leads to achieve overall goals.
- Coach/mentor and ensure necessary training is provided to staff
- Provide leadership and positive motivation to team members
- Handle departmental personnel matters; including hiring interviews, overtime and attendance reporting, performance evaluations, and disciplinary matters in support of Manufacturing Engineering Manager.
- Promote plant safety and provide direction and leadership in regards to all plant safety matters
Job Requirements
What you will bring to the role:
- Completion of a Manufacturing Technologist program or degree is preferred.
- Minimum five (5) years of practical production floor experience.
- Previous experience in leading a small team
- Strong problem solving and decision making skills.
- Ability to give direction to others and comfortable dealing with multiple departments to resolve issues.
- Thorough understanding of shop floor processes/procedures.
- Good computer skills; knowledge of Excel and Word programs, CAD/Inventor software.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good time management and organizational skills.
- Familiar with BOM/product structuring.
- Strong problem solving abilities.
- Experience with ISO 9000 certification.
