Job Description



As Quality Inspector you will be responsible for interactions related to the monitoring, investigation and resolution of product or process quality concerns.  Responsible for the implementation of the quality assurance program.  


Key Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Conduct product inspections in assembly and or primaries departments
  • Prepare inspection reports and present inspection results
  • Investigate non-conformances and determine disposition of non-conforming/defective parts or components; including tagging, report writing/documenting and return/cost recovery, and root cause.
  • Liaise with suppliers, manufacturing engineering, design engineering, service, purchasing and shop floor staff to develop action plans for non-conforming parts/processes
  • Perform other duties as directed by the Quality Director




Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Technologist Diploma/Certificate in Quality Assurance or Quality Control preferred.
  • Good computer skills (Word and Excel)
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Minimum 2 years practical shop floor experience in quality
  • Forklift experience 
  • Strong problem solving abilities and an attention to details.
  • General knowledge of blue print reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing
  • Good time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience with ISO 9000 certification
  • General knowledge of manufacturing shop floor safety rules and regulations
